Ward's - Best Bitter - 4.5%

Taste: toffee, caramel, rain water. Much better than I expected by looking at the label. Just goes to show.... Books.... Covers..... We're very proud!.... There's a taste of malt loaf in there. Interesting.

Appearance: carrot and whiskey.

Would you buy 2? Yes indeed!

Adnams - Southwold Bitter 4.1%

Taste: bitter, like kissing the blarney stone and wiping off your lips with a handful of dry hops. Really light. It stings in a good way. Would be delicious with a scotch egg.

Appearance: orange tang

Would you buy 2? Perhaps. It's very gaseous, however.

Would you buy 4? Depends on choice.

Rating (out of 7): 4**** by no means unpleasant. It's tasty!
